COMMENTS & PRESS:

Hi, I'm John and I took several photo's from your ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS presentation at the Hafla.  I really enjoyed the event and your dance was a spectacular moment.  Your appearance  was spellbinding enough and when you danced to the music,....well my brain swelled !

Ask me to be specific and I will spend "hours" describing the nuances of allure that  you weave so generously.    For example,....from the moment I laid eyes on you all, I knew we were in for a real treat.  The costumes and garments were so beautiful and the bindi's really accentuated your beautiful eyes and focused my attention on the soul, especially when you danced and concentrated on your art.   I even loved your hairpieces!!!   Yes, I am a fan and will travel to see you perform again. I do so hope to bear witness to your awesome energies you so weave for all.  I Thank you for the opportunity to witness this.
Peace and joy to you and yours,... John

Dear Vikki,
I had a wonderful time at your last Belly Jam.  In fact, that's when I decided to start taking bellydance lessons.  Until that point I was just a drummer, with "Images of the Motherland".  So, thank you for having these events and making them so open and friendly to non-dancers.
See you at the Belly Jam,
Suzanne

Hipnosis was Mesmerizing!
by Fikriyyah (published in the May/June 2005 issue of Zaghareet! Magazine)

Those of you who know me or who have read my reviews or recommendations about workshops know that I often talk about the shortcomings of workshops I attend.  Fortunately or unfortunately, I tend to be critical when I have traveled several hours and have paid what I consider to be a sizable fee to study with a particular teacher or group.  With this in mind, I would like to describe a workshop that I recently attended that was fabulous in all respects.

Whole Lotta Shakin'
There's more to belly dance than bare midriffs.
by Megan Sullivan (published in the Sept. 2, 2005 issue of Time Off Bucks County)

A group of women stand barefoot on the hardwood floor of a Yardley yoga and pilates studio, gracefully moving their bodies in time to Middle Eastern music.  Their hips lift, drop, lift, push out.  Their bellies roll in and out.  Moving fluidly with arms parallel to the floor, their hands are positioned as if they have small cymbals between their thumbs and middle fingers.  Hip scarves and belts with small coins jingle as the women dance confidently, no matter their age, shape or size.  They share a common passion - a passion for American Tribal Style belly dance.

Hipnosis captures the essence of the American Tribal Style with hypnotic (pun intended!) arm movements, coordinated group improvisation and tasteful costuming.  Their enthusiasm and joyful stage presence are inspiring.  They radiate confidence with every move and charm audiences with their smiles.  Their love of dance shows in every taxim and shimmy.

Little Marakesh celebrates fifth birthday with special Royal Feast
By: Frank D. Quattrone

Under the flowing orange canopy, as the sinuous strains of Middle Eastern music fill the room, they emerge - five tribal belly dancers known, for reasons soon to become obvious, as Hipnosis.

  Hipnosis Workshops
Julie - Orefield, PA   (Monday, April 23, 2007)

Vikki and Jessica were great. I actually jumped in on the last session and I didn't feel out of place. They really took the time to break down the moves to make sure people knew what they were doing. I would tell anyone to take their classes.
Thank you

I thought Vikki and Jessica did a wonderful job. The breakdown was easy to follow and they kept the class moving along keeping my attention. I can't wait to learn more and I'm buying the video when it comes out! Keep me posted. Robin
