I am a Lover and Beloved, I have
birthed three children and mothered many. I am a dreamer of dreams
and maker of my home.
I am
a doula, childbirth advocate, preschool teacher, supporter of women,
aspiring herbalist, and Medicine Woman student.
I love fiber and enjoy spinning wool, knitting, weaving, and crochet
. I enjoy learning and teaching, empowering children and women.
I am on such a journey right now and although a bit
scary at times, I am looking forward to discovering who I am and
what I will become.
I aspire to someday become a local village Wise Woman. I have lived
many places and been many people.
My children have grown into fine human beings and now I am
discovering my now/new passion(s).

I have
always loved dancing and expressing myself through the dance. As a
child, I fantasized about being a ballet dancer or even on Broadway
(absolutely LOVE musicals and don't get me started on my Bollywood
addiction) but never pursued those thoughts except in daydreams. At
the age of 25 I walked into a dance studio for the first time in my
life and began ballet and modern dance lessons. Several weeks into
my classes, my teacher approached me and commented on the speed with
which I picked up the choreography. She wondered how long I had
taken lessons previously. I told her I had never had any prior
lessons and she told me I was a natural!
Needless
to say that was all the encouragement I needed and I was hooked!
During the next decade of my life,
dance was put on the back burner for many reasons, but the spark of
desire always burned. This desire and a move to Philadelphia,
prompted me to look into dance classes again. I discovered that
belly dance classes were being offered a nearby high school's adult
school program so I thought, 'why not?'. What a joy I discovered!
The fluidity and beauty of belly dance was so natural to my body.
When my teacher left the adult school and vacant classes, I knew I
needed to find something to fill the whole that was now left.
In my searching's I stumbled
upon "Tribal Style" bellydance. Now this was really a fit! Dance for
and by women-- A tribe and community of dancers! I knew I needed to
find a teacher. The fates smiled upon me and led me to the Tribal
Bellies
Dance Studio and my beloved teacher, Vikki. Here I found more than I
had ever hoped for! Here I found a community of joyous, loving and
unbelievably supportive women. I am so grateful to all the Tribal
Sisters of the Tribal Bellies Studio and Vikki for her clear instruction,
kind heart and constant encouragement. It is because of this and the
friendships forged at the studio I have the privilege of even
writing this bio.
A dream come true, I am
proud and honored to be part of Tribal Spirit Dance troupe.
